Ayodele Modpue Roache is a Guyanese leader, democracy advocate, governance professional, and community organizer dedicated to advancing youth leadership, democratic participation, and accountable public service. She is recognized for her commitment to empowering young people, promoting transparent governance, and creating opportunities for meaningful civic engagement at the local, national, and international levels.
Ayodele currently serves as the Latin America and the Caribbean Representative on the Youth Democracy Network (YDN) Global Council, where she works alongside young leaders from around the world to strengthen democratic institutions, encourage youth participation in governance, and foster regional collaboration across Latin America and the Caribbean.
She previously served as a Councillor on the Georgetown Mayor and City Council (GM&CC), making history as the youngest person ever elected to serve on the Council. During her tenure, she championed youth inclusion, community development, and greater civic engagement while advocating for policies that reflected the needs and aspirations of Georgetown's residents.
In addition to her public service, Ayodele has professional experience in the construction and project management sector, where she has overseen operations, coordinated teams, and contributed to infrastructure development. Her leadership in both the public and private sectors has equipped her with a practical understanding of governance, organizational management, and sustainable development.
A passionate advocate for accountability and democratic values, Ayodele believes that effective leadership is rooted in integrity, service, and the courage to inspire positive change. She continues to work with civil society organizations, youth networks, and community stakeholders to promote good governance, strengthen democratic institutions, and encourage active citizen participation.
